Originally known as 'The Stone Institute', this derelict Victorian building once served as a vibrant social hub for the workers at the Stone Foundry that stood before it. The institute housed a concert room, gymnasium, library, coffee tavern, and two dining rooms, providing a communal space for leisure and social gatherings.
Though the foundry has relocated and its original buildings have been replaced by modern apartments, this beautiful structure, rich in historical character and original features, still stands. It awaits rejuvenation, ready to once again echo with the sounds of life and laughter.
Preserving this piece of industrial heritage, the proposal aims to transform the site into 14 exceptional apartments, blending the charm of the past with the conveniences of contemporary living.
